About this tool

Extract frames from a video as a sequence of JPG or PNG images, delivered as a zip — set a frame rate or interval to control how many you get.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between "fps" and "every N seconds"?
FPS extracts a fixed number of frames per second of video (e.g. 2 frames per second); "every N seconds" extracts one frame at fixed time intervals instead (e.g. one frame every 5 seconds). Use whichever fits how you want to sample the video.
Is there a limit on how many frames I can extract?
Yes, a maximum you can adjust — this keeps very long videos or high frame rates from producing an unreasonably large zip file.
