Image to Text gives you the extracted text on its own, as plain text. This tool keeps the original scanned image looking exactly the same, but adds an invisible searchable/selectable text layer behind it — useful for archiving scanned documents.
Will the output PDF look different from my original scan?
No — visually it's identical to your uploaded image; the only change is the invisible text layer added underneath, which is what makes it searchable in PDF viewers.
Why does this tool take longer than most others?
It runs full OCR text recognition and then builds a PDF around the result, which takes more processing than a simple image conversion.
