Vetean Nollywood actor John Okafor known as Mr Ibu has taken to the public to solicit for help and prayers as he fight for his life in a hospital in Lagos
The humorous actor hinted that he would have his legs amputated in a video posted on his official instagram page on Wednesday.
“I’ve been unwell for several weeks. All i’m seeking are your prayers and support. As i address you, i’m still confined to my hospital bed. The hospital’s medical director mentioned that if his new approach doesn’t yield results, they may need to amputate my legs. If they amputate my legs,what will become of me? please pray for me and seek God intervention. I don’t want to loose my legs. Thank you, and may God bless you,” Mr. Ibu revealed.
Mr. Ibu wife and daughter, who also appeared in the video, appealed to the public, nothing that the actor has been unwell for the past two weeks.
“I’ve been personally trying to manage the medical bills, thinking i could handle it on my own. My mother is in the hospital, our children are at home. We believe that we could handle it independently and that he would recover. However, he’s not showing any signs of improvement. We are currently in on one Lagos best private hospital”
“This is not the first time my dad has been unwell. If he’s not responding to treatment in one of the best hospital in Lagos, i think we need people to come together and, if possible, assist us in flying him Abroad for more advanced treatment. As a father, he has been putting up a fight, trying to be strong. He desires to keep living.
“Personally, i’m drained. This is the hospital they gave to us. I’m financially overwhelmed. I can’t handle this alone. I need help,” pleaded his daughter in the video. www.jamora.world
