Wovenhand and 16 Horsepower frontman David Eugene Edwards has introduced the primary solo album below his personal title. Titled Hyacinth can be out in September and options contributions from producer Ben Chisholm. Edwards can also be sharing the lead single from Hyacinth — the gloomy, majestic, poetic “Lionisis,” which comes with a video directed by Loic Zimmerman.
“Hyacinth was a kind of imaginative and prescient,” Edwards says concerning the LP. “A dream. I sought out of my outdated wood banjo and nylon string guitar a hidden path. Secrets and techniques they’d stored from me inside themselves all these years, and created a brand new Mythos to myself of philosophical and non secular concepts or ideas.”
He provides: “General, I assume the album is a weaving of narratives historic and fashionable, of humankind’s seek for understanding of this world we discover ourselves in and of one another. In all its simplicity and complexity. Hyacinth is a reference to the Greek delusion of Apollo. And, the phrase that means a treasured stone and blue larkspur flower of purple and pall.”
