“Smile now. I’ll cry later.”
That was the message Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons sent to 49ers tight end George Kittle.
Parsons’ comments came after the 49ers defeated the Cowboys 42-10 on Sunday night, when he aired his displeasure with Kittle on his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons.”
Parsons’ problem wasn’t that he was so shut down that he seemed to have forgotten to board the Cowboys’ plane to Santa Clara for the game.
Instead, under his uniform, Kittle will wear a shirt with “F-Dallas” written on the front, similar to the one worn by former 49ers linebacker Gary Plummer in the 1994 NFC Championship Game. I chose that.
“I feel like he’s making it more personal than it needs to be,” Parsons said. “Kittle is my sweetheart, but let me tell you this: She can laugh now and cry later.
“We’ve got something for it, just believe me. If we meet again, just believe me. … If you want it to be personal, you can make it personal.”
Deebo Samuel had a simple response to Parsons’ comments.
“It was already personal before the game even started… 42-10, you don’t want to see us anymore. It could be a little bit worse,” Samuel said on “Up & Adams” Tuesday morning. Ta. “I don’t think he wants to see us again.”
San Francisco won three straight against Parsons and the Cowboys.
Sunday night’s win was the most dominant of the three games, and the score could have been even more lopsided. Kyle Shanahan removed most of his starters just minutes into the fourth quarter, and his team held a 32-point lead.
