Brock Purdy takes more shots off the field than on it.
The latest from ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky on Monday morning: “If Mac Jones was in San Francisco, he would be playing like Brock Purdy,” the former NFL quarterback said on Monday’s show. He spoke at
George Kittle was asked about Orlovsky’s comments in an interview on KNBR’s Murph & Mac show Tuesday morning.
“I saw it this morning,” the 49ers tight end replied. “That’s disrespectful to Brock Purdy.
“I think Mac Jones is a great quarterback. What Bullock is doing right now, look at his stats, watch the tape. Watch him move in the pocket, watch his Look at his throwing motion. It’s phenomenal.”
Comments like Orlovsky’s are all too common these days.
Almost every conversation about Purdy’s performance is tempered with the phrase, “You could throw a decent quarterback into the 49ers offense and they’d still put up numbers like that.”
