Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has responded to rumours linking him to the marital issues of actress and reality TV personality BamBam, shedding light on how he handled their intimate scenes in the film Love in Every Word.

Speaking during an interview with the BBC’s Igbo service, Arukwe addressed the speculation that emerged after the release of Love in Every Word Parts 1 and 2. He dismissed claims that the strong on-screen chemistry between him and BamBam reflected a real-life relationship.

According to Arukwe, he made sure to approach the situation professionally from the beginning. He explained that before filming any intimate moments, he asked BamBam whether there were boundaries he should respect—especially anything that might make her husband uncomfortable or create issues at home. He also noted that the movie marked the first time they had ever met, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

Arukwe stressed that his responsibility as an actor is simply to portray his character convincingly, not to blur the line between fiction and real life.

His remarks come amid online speculation suggesting that BamBam’s marriage has been experiencing difficulties, with some social media users blaming Arukwe because of their convincing romantic scenes in the movie. The film’s success and the actors’ believable performances helped fuel the rumours, even though the relationship existed only within the story.

Through the interview, Arukwe firmly rejected those claims and clarified that their interaction remained strictly professional.
