The Kills, the long-running collaboration between Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, haven’t launched a brand new album since 2016’s Ash & Ice. In 2020, Mosshart and Hince launched the B-sides/rarities assortment Little Bastards, and final month they launched a pair of singles, one for every of the coasts: “New York” and “LA Hex.” Now, the Kills have introduced their sixth studio album, God Video games, which is coming October 27 through Domino. Along with the album announce, the duo are sharing a brand new single, “103,” which comes with a video directed by Steven Sebring.
Based on a launch, “103” is a temperature measured in Fahrenheit and “highlights the brutal actuality of daunting uninhabitability by way of the lens of a darkish twisted love track.” In the meantime, the Kills recorded God Video games in an outdated church with producer Paul Epworth. Two of its songs — the already launched “LA Hex” and “My Ladies My Ladies” — characteristic collaborations with the Compton Kidz Membership Choir.
