December is a month with many holidays. The big ones are Christmas, Hanukkah, Boxing Day, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s, but if we’ve missed an event that’s important to you, please let us know.
At AAR, we love holiday romance.tag holiday romance There are 287 entries, but I’m sure there are many that I missed. (Please let me know if you see it!)
My family celebrates Christmas, so my favorite Christmas stories are related to Christmas. Here are some of my favorites.
Courtney Milan has been at the top of my Christmas romance list for over a decade. You can never decide which is better. kiss in the middle of winter or this evil gift. The former is classic Milanese. It features a feminist heroine, a wonderful beta hero, who delivers messages about both abortion and contraception. This is the perfect novella. Milan is her queen. But I’m always shocked that Milan is the author of this book. this evil gift. The hero blackmails the heroine in a way that is really unacceptable at first. This is a setup that I don’t see Milan adopting today. That being said, she makes it work and the love story is charming. I reread both stories every December.
juliana stone’s christmas he loved her is an angry, smart story with a slightly older lead. This is a story about connecting with people who have been estranged in some way. Both the relationships between lovers and the relationships with others in their lives are skillfully explored in this book. It’s moving, sexy, and full of humor. That’s DIK for me.
And although this is not a romance, it must be mentioned Jonathan Twomey’s Christmas Miracle. This is the only A+ I gave on AAR. If you haven’t read it yet, no matter your age, get ready to mend your broken hearts anew. For me it’s perfect.
what about you? What is your favorite winter holiday romance?
