Derby County were given a free week in League One after being eliminated in the FA Cup rematch with Crewe Alexandra, but despite the manner of their defeat, Warne’s side were given an important festival fixture. It gave me the rest I needed before.

Derby County line-up changes to Ben Cloughhaus
According to team talk, Derby County are interested in Bromley midfielder Ben Cloughhaus, they observed action this campaign to monitor his progress with the National League outfit. Despite this, competition to sign the 19-year-old is fierce, with Cardiff City, Swansea City, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic all keen on the youngster to make his mark in the Football League.
