This week’s comment
“Mark is 100% correct.
As a doctor, I assure anyone who is worried:Acquired diabetes (as opposed to being born with type 1 diabetes) does not occur secretly or suddenly like cancer. (Cancer of the pancreas, an insulin-producing organ, can suddenly cause diabetes, but that’s cancer).
There is no doubt that acquired type 2 diabetes can be monitored daily to determine whether you are moving towards or away from diabetes.
Losing weight, lowering blood sugar levels, lowering triglycerides, and increasing exercise tolerance and fitness are all simple everyday signs that your chances of diabetes are decreasing, not increasing. .If you’re really concerned, a blood glucose meter, which can be purchased cheaply at drug stores, will give you excellent daily data on how your blood sugar responds to foods and meals. (Be sure to read about normals and parameters so you can interpret the results correctly).
If you are becoming diabetic, as evidenced by elevated blood sugar levels, significant weight gain, and elevated triglyceride levels, cutting out all red meat will not improve your situation.
If you increase your exercise, eliminate all sweeteners and simple carbohydrates, and reduce your caloric intake, the situation will improve and the trend will reverse. For acquired type 2 diabetes, it’s really simple. The way “research” studies are featured and discussed in the same way as actual, original, double-blind experiments with real measurements and data is a travesty.
The problem is that the average person doesn’t know the difference, and you can’t really expect to sit down and learn it while raising a family and working two jobs.
However, I expect more from journalists because it is their job and responsibility to report accurately.
What they are doing here is so irresponsible. And I think the huge vegan industry knows that and is making the most of it. I don’t even condone them paying journalists to report the way they do.
These companies can’t wait to eliminate real meat and take market and profits away from fake, chemical-filled, artificial protein substitutes.
Wow :^{”– nice message.
