La Liga side Real Betis have taken an innovative approach by reusing unsold kits from last season.
The club partnered with the designer Equipo FC Introducing a new line of apparel that turns unsold kits from recent seasons into fashion items such as jackets, shirts and bags.
The item was released on Real Betis website Tuesday, November 21st.
The bomber jacket, which retails for 165 euros, is repurposed from a special edition kit produced in the 2020-21 season. The green and white stripes include the names of season ticket holders who have chosen to donate to the club to help the club through the coronavirus pandemic.
The button-up shirt uses the club’s 2022-23 home kit and retails for €100. This is very similar to other button-ups that Equipo FC makes with other kits from around Europe.
The women’s crop top repurposes Betis’ 2022-23 away kit, adding elasticated cuffs to the hem. It sells for 80 euros.
The fanny pack and shoulder bag are both priced at €80 and combine the green and white 2022-23 home kit with the same season’s orange third kit.
The collaboration with Equipo FC is part of Real Betis. forever green A platform aimed at reducing the environmental impact of clubs and their fans.
