Warner Music Group (WMG) has entered into a new partnership with Small World Records, the label and publisher founded by Ghanaian music entrepreneur and artist SmallGod.
The new agreement will see Small World Records work globally with teams at Warner Music, ADA and Warner Chappell Music to “promote” Small World’s roster of artists and writers to audiences around the world.
According to WMG, the partnership will see the two companies “discover, develop and expand a new generation of African musical talent.”
SmallGod will continue to lead the operations of Small World with additional support from WMG.

SmallGod’s first venture in the music industry was Basement, a nightclub in Ghana that he ran since 2003.
Building relationships with artists through clubs, he began managing Ghanaian reggae artist Black Prophet, and later signed Ghanaian rapper J-Town. After that, he managed Wavy The Creator and Eugy Official.
He then started and ran his own independent record label and publishing company, Nasecworld, before launching Small World Records.
